The Cauldron-Born, undead soldiers, are the most dreaded weapons of the Death-Lord Arawn in his campaign to conquer Prydain. A daring attack aims to prevent him increasing their numbers by destroying the enchanted cauldron in which they are made; when the attack goes awry, Taran and his companions find themselves carrying the fate of Prydain alone. - The Castle of Llyr (1966)
The companions are separated when Princess Eilonwy is sent to finishing school on the Isle of Mona. But they are soon reunited when the sorceress Achren tries to make Eilonwy claim her royal – and magical – heritage by force. - Taran Wanderer (1967)
